Science Double Degree Program
Course code/s: Bendigo (SZSSB)
This double degree program is designed to allow academically able students to combine any two of the three year degrees offered by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering. A course adviser will assist students in designing a program that will suit their individual interests. Provided that the core requirements for each degree are met, graduates will be awarded both selected degrees.
Eligible three year degrees offered by the Faculty are:
- Bachelor of Psychological Science
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science.
Course Structure
This double degree is of four and a half years full-time or equivalent part-time duration and requires the completion of 540 credit points overall. Students may complete this double degree in four years as part of an accelerated study program. The maximum number of first year level credit points to be taken is 180 and the minimum number of third year level credit points required is 180. Normally the maximum load permitted in any one semester is 75 credit points. Students are required to complete the core requirements for each of the two degrees. For new students an adviser will be available at the enrolment session to plan their individual course structure.
Students who experience difficulties with the overloaded nature of the course may apply to transfer to either of the degrees.
Honours
Suitably qualified students may be eligible to undertake an Honours year, which will require an additional full-time or equivalent part-time year of study.
