Course Description

This program is an ideal route to internationally recognised professional accreditations in accounting and finance. The curriculum is jointly based on the finance industry endorsed CFA Institute Candidate Body of Knowledge (TM) and the professional accrediting bodies for accountants.

This course facilitates entry into a wide range of challenging and rewarding careers in the financial and accounting sectors. It builds on a broad foundation of study in economics, accounting and quantitative methods.

The program also offers students the opportunity to achieve RG146 compliance, which allows them to offer financial advice to private individuals in Australia
 
The course is accredited by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), the National Institute of Accountants (NIA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Admission requirements

A La Trobe University three-year bachelor degree or an approved equivalent undergraduate or postgraduate degree with an average in excess of 60% in the final year.

Degree requirements

The course requires twenty, 15 credit point subjects completed in five six-month semesters of full-time study.
