Master of Financial Analysis

Course Description

The Master of Financial Analysis is based on a defined body of knowledge of proven relevance to the finance industry and is designed as a pathway to the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter, which has become known as the designation of professional excellence within the global investment industry.

This course facilitates entry into a wide range of challenging and rewarding careers in the financial sector. It builds on a broad foundation of study in economics, accounting and quantitative methods. Lecturers and practitioners help students develop the knowledge, skills and analytical thinking suitable for professional accreditation as a CFA charterholder and a career in investment, banking or finance.

Admission requirements

A La Trobe University three-year bachelor degree or an approved equivalent undergraduate or postgraduate degree with an average in excess of 60% in the final year.

Degree requirements

The course requires twelve, 15 credit point subjects completed in three six-month semesters of full-time study.
