Master of Accounting and Financial Management

The Master of Professional Accounting and Financial Management provides a pathway for graduates who did not major in accounting and financial management to achieve a professional accounting qualification and to extend their study beyond the minimum requirement for professional membership in the professional accounting bodies.

Admission requirements

An Australian Bachelor degree with a C grade average in the third year, or a degree determined to be equivalent by La Trobe University and by CPA Australia (CPA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) is required.

Degree requirements

Students will be required to complete 16 compulsory subjects (240 credit points). The course is structured to meet the accreditation requirements CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA), National Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is designed to be completed in two years of full-time study.
