The Master of Nursing (Research Methods) is a 1.5 year full-time or 2-3 year part-time with an exit option available at the Postgraduate Diploma (one year, full-time or two years part-time, 120 credit points). The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills in the conduct of research. The proposed flexible mode of delivery will be attractive to nurses and midwives looking to advance their career in research and scholarship. It will enable nurses and midwives from distant locations (including international) to enrol. Entry into this course is not contingent on an applicant having access to employment or clinical placement in a speciality field; this will be an attractive study option for international nurses. Applicants who wish to undertake a subject of study that requires clinical practice will require the Course Coordinator's approval. They will also need to meet the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Admission requirements
Applicants seeking entry into the Master of Nursing (Research Methods) must be a Registered Nurse and hold a current practising certificate with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
