Course Duration:

Postgraduate Diploma: 1 year full-time, 2 years part-time

Master: 1.5 years full-time, 2-3 years part-time

The Master of Nursing is a full-time (1.5 year) or part-time (2-3 years) award with an exit option available at the Postgradaute Diploma level (1-year, full-time or 2-years part-time, 120 credit points). The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills in their chosen area of professional practice. It is provided in a flexible mode of delivery that will enable nurses from distant locations (including international) to enrol. Entry into this course is not contingent on an applicant having access to employment or clinical placement in a speciality field; this is an attractive study option for international nurses. Applicants who wish to undertake a subject of study that requires clinical practice must obtain the Course Coordinator's approval and will need to meet the requirements of the hospital assessment of competency and registration requirements of Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Admission Requirements

Applicants seeking entry into the Master of Nursing must be a Registered Nurse and hold a current practising certificate with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or equivalent international body.
