Graduate Certificate in Computing

Course code/s: RCC - Bendigo

The Graduate Certificate in Computing has been developed to satisfy the needs of those seeking introductory IT knowledge and skills to broaden qualifications gained in another tertiary discipline.

Admission requirements

Applicants must normally hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent. Candidates may apply for entry based upon considerable relevant work experience.

Course structure

The certificate is awarded upon completion of four subjects (60 credit points), two each at Level 1 and Level 2, selected from the list below and approved by the postgraduate coursework coordinator.

Key: 1 Prerequisite for entry to the GradDipIT.

2 Normally reserved for teachers or education students, as an elective within either the GradCertComp or the DipEd.

Depending on subjects selected, the certificate may constitute the first half of the Graduate Diploma in Computing, or may be used for entry to the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.

A student who elects to continue to the Graduate Diploma in Computing will have the Graduate Certificate in Computing subsumed. The Graduate Certificate in Computing can also qualify applicants for entry to the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology.
