Insurance
It is highly recommended that students have Ambulance Cover and Private Health Insurance.
La Trobe University provides students with Personal Injury Insurance but it is limited in regard to the scope of cover provided and the compensation benefits payable. Details can be found at http://www.latrobe.edu.au/insurance/std7.html
If you need help with a claim please refer to the Sports Centre, Melbourne Campus or the Bendigo Student Association.
Please note that claims against this insurance must be lodged within 30 days of the date of the injury.
International students – for information on Overseas Student Health Care, please refer to the International Student section of the Handbook.
By Victorian Government legislation, students are not covered under the University Work Cover Insurance. Students are also not covered by a Host Organisation Work Cover Insurance while on outside placement.
NOTE: The University or Student Associations DO NOT insure any student personal property or property for which they are responsible and it is highly recommended that student’s make their own insurance arrangements.
