La Trobe International (Regional Campuses)
La Trobe University provides many specialised support services to help students adjust to living in Australia. We understand the difficulties international students might face in adjusting to a new culture and landscape, making new friends and studying successfully, all at the same time. Our staff will ensure that you don’t have to cope with this all on your own. Services provided by La Trobe International include:
- Assistance with visa, health insurance and temporary accommodation arrangements and a Pre-departure guide
- A free airport reception service (by prior arrangement)
- A Welcome Orientation Program and comprehensive Arrival Guide
- Staff who offer advice and support on personal, financial or cultural issues, transition to life in Australia and study at La Trobe University
- Specialised information for sponsored students and students with families
- Social activities and programs e.g. UniMates: International Friendship Program, Weekend Homestay, cultural celebrations
- Bendigo International Student Club (BISC)
- A Returning Home Program to ease your transition to returning home or staying in Australia
- Advice on studying abroad and exchange programs with collaborating universities in many countries.
