FINANCE PROGRAMS

Master of Financial Analysis/Master of Islamic Banking and Finance (Coursework) – Melbourne (Bundoora) (LYFAIBF)

This double masters combines the Master of Financial Analysis which is based on a defined body of knowledge of proven relevance to the finance industry and is designed as a pathway to the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter, which has become known as the designation of professional excellence within the global investment industry with the Master of Islamic Banking and Finance with its technical skills demanded by global Islamic capital markets and institutions. Students will develop expertise in Islamic banking, Islamic insurance and Islamic capital markets.

Admission requirements

An Australian Bachelor degree (or a degree determined to be equivalent by La Trobe University with a ‘C’ grade average or above in the final year of study towards your Bachelor degree.

Degree requirements

The double Masters degree comprises a minimum of sixteen, 15 credit point subjects completed in four six-month semesters of full-time study.

The course structure is built on a combination of the core modules of both the Master of Financial Analysis and the Master of Islamic Banking and Finance.
Students who do not hold a relevant three year Bachelor degree majoring in finance, economics, or accounting are required to complete a foundation module in addition to the two core modules, increasing the duration of the program to a total of five six-month semesters of full-time study.
