Sociology is concerned with the study of social life – the structural arrangements and cultural patterns that shape group behaviour at every level of social action, whether local, national, or global. Sociologists work from a range of theoretical perspectives and adopt a variety of methodological approaches. The units offered reflect this diversity and provide students with a wide range of choice. The Program is structured to provide students specialising in Sociology with an understanding of core concepts and basic research methods. The Albury Wodonga Campus also offers a limited range of sociology units to students enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences.
