The Master of Nursing (Cancer/Palliative Care) is a 1.5 year, full-time or 2-3 year, part-time award with exit options available at either the Graduate Certificate (one year, part-time, 60 credit points) or the Postgraduate Diploma (one year, full-time or two years part-time, 120 credit points). The course is designed to prepare qualified nurses to extend and deepen their knowledge of cancer/palliative care nursing, as it occurs in a variety of settings, and as it related to advanced nursing knowledge. Students will be expected to work in an area of cancer/palliative care nursing for the duration of the course. All subjects are offered by flexi-mode delivery.

Admission requirements

Applicants seeking entry into the Master of Nursing (Cancer/Palliative Care) must be a Division 1 Registered Nurse and hold a current practising certificate with the Nurses Board of Victoria, or its equivalent.
