The Master of Nursing (Critical Care) is a 1.5 year, full-time or 2-3 year, part-time award with exit options available at either the Graduate Certificate (one year, part-time, 60 credit points) or the Postgraduate Diploma (one year, full-time or two years part-time, 120 credit points). The course provides students with the in-depth knowledge and skills required to practise in contemporary critical care nursing practice. The course offers students a strong evidence base, supported by appropriate clinical skill development, along with the necessary life-long learning skills. The specialty subjects enable students to undertake focused and advanced clinical studies in critical care nursing. Students will be expected to undertake supervised and assessed clinical practice in a critical care nursing environment.

Admission requirements

Applicants seeking entry into the Master of Nursing (Critical Care) must be a Division 1 Registered Nurse and hold a current practising certificate with the Nurses Board of Victoria, or its equivalent.
