This course has been developed for health and community services professionals/workers who have formal responsibilities for improving the quality of services and operations. Increasingly, human services organisations are choosing or are required to develop explicit quality systems. These systems involve the development or adoption of quality standards, monitoring of activities against these standards and responding with appropriate organisational and/or service development initiatives. Quality improvement systems are based on a strong analytical approach, the systematic collection of relevant information and the development of strategies to improve client outcomes and organisation operations. This course will suit individuals working in the many and diverse sectors providing health, disability, welfare and community services. It has been designed to provide graduates with a thorough theoretical basis and a range of skills related to organisational functions and responsibilities.
