Insurance
It is highly recommended that students have Ambulance Cover and Private Health Insurance.
La Trobe University provides students with Accidental Bodily Injury Insurance but it is limited in regards to the scope of cover provided and compensation benefits payable.
Please refer to the Sports Centre, Bundoora Campus or the Bendigo Student Association for full details of the Group Personal Injury Insurance Product Disclosure Statement, Policy Schedule, Policy Wording and for a Claim Form.
Claims against this Group Personal Injury Insurance must be lodged within 30 days of the date of the injury.
International students – for information on Overseas Student Health Care, please refer to the International Student section of the online Handbook.
By Victorian Government legislation, students are not covered under the University Work Cover Insurance and are not covered while on outside placement by a Host Organisation Work Cover Insurance.
NOTE: The University, The Guild or Student Associations DO NOT insure any student personal property or property for which they are responsible and it is recommended that student’s make their own insurance arrangements.
