Master of Archaeology by Coursework – Melbourne (Bundoora) (AMA)

This course is intended for Archaeology Honours graduates or those who have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Archaeology and who wish to continue with higher-level studies in archaeology. While the course is general rather than vocationally oriented, it will be of use to students wishing to pursue careers in archaeology either in public sector heritage service departments or in private consulting.

Duration

The course is one year full-time, or two to three years part-time.

Admission requirements

Applicants are required to have completed a four-year Honours degree, a Master of Arts (Preliminary) with at least an H2A result in Archaeology, the Postgraduate Diploma in Archaeology with at least a B average, or an equivalent qualification.

Course requirements

Students are required to complete three 20-credit-point fifth year-level units from those listed below and a 15000-word research thesis worth 60 credit points, ARC5THE.
