La Trobe University 's welcoming approach to international students helped me to decide where I should study the Master of International Business.

The MIB is proving to be challenging enough to facilitate learning while encouraging vertical and horizontal understanding in the various units. Flexibility to allow for cultural integration has added another useful perspective to the program. With the assistance of friendly and accommodating staff, transition into a new country and a new study environment has made joining the program much easier. Lecturers are concise, professional and take academic growth seriously.

The Graduate School of Management has thus far met my expected outcomes of the Master of International Business and exhibits every indication of continuing to do so in the future.

After working for 7 years as a lawyer of which 5 were in the field of international business, I wanted to broaden my expertise and experiences to open up other options for my future career. I chose the Master of International Business at the Graduate School of Management because the units on offer were of interest to me and for the chance to live in Melbourne , a city that has much to offer.

I have found the course challenging and have learnt a lot about different areas of management. What I have found particularly important is that the teaching doesn't concentrate only on providing knowledge, but also the practical skills that are so important in business life. Academic and administrative staff are supportive, easy to access and willing to give advice and assistance whenever needed making the studying atmosphere relaxed and warm.

Studying the MIB has been a positive experience, giving me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world with different backgrounds and views and with whom I can make life-long friends.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications at Southeast Missouri State University and with 2 years work experience behind me I decided to take up postgraduate study with an international focus. I chose La Trobe University because it is a reputable university and was ranked in the top 100 universities around the world.

The course has definitely met my expectations with classroom size, well rounded units and great support staff. I am very pleased with the diversity of cultures in the classroom helping us to learn as much from each other as we do from our lecturers. The lecturers are very knowledgeable with real world experience in the international area of business and management. This course has already equipped me with international communication skills and critical thinking that I can take with me into the future. Added to the knowledge gained from studying the MIB living in Melbourne with its multicultural lifestyle, ease of travel and great choices in entertainment has made the experience the best thing I have ever done.
