Dr Karen Dodd
Professor and Physiotherapist

My Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy and my position as an academic in the School of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University did not adequately equipment me for the complex role of a manager. The combination of sound academic content, motivating and supportive staff and the varied perspectives of fellow students have made my decision to enrol in the MBA at La Trobe University one of the best career decisions that I have made.

I really appreciate the diversity of different units being offered by the GSM which gives me the opportunity to tailor my learning experience to make it more relevant to my needs. The new knowledge and the confidence I have gained is already paying off with greater opportunities for career progression.

Mr Sahil Bhasin
Operations Manager

As a full time employee at the City of Melbourne , I found career progression was almost unattainable as I was competing with branch and divisional managers who had completed at least a bachelor degree and generally some form of postgraduate studies as well. I decided to take the next step and enrolled in the MBA program at the Graduate School of Management to position myself among these colleagues. La Trobe's quality lecturing staff and diversity of units has enabled me to tailor my studies to complement my industry experience, it also provides me with the skills to think outside the square when making business decisions. The four term structure, which I have taken up part time, is a great advantage, allowing me to achieve a work/life balance by integrating my MBA, social life and my career.
