Evaluation and Counselling of Organisational Change – A Theory Based Instrument

As part of their visit to the Graduate School of Management, Professor Siegfried Greif and Professor Frank Riemenschneider will conduct a seminar on organisational change, titled Evaluation and Counselling of Organisational Change – A Theory Based Instrument. The seminar is free and particularly useful for researchers planning to undertake change-related research within organisation.

Siegfried Greif is a distinguished German professor of organisational psychology. He studied psychology at the University of Giessen and received his PhD with a dissertation on group intelligence tests from the Free University of Berlin in 1972. Before he was promoted to professor at the Free University of Berlin in 1977, Siegfried worked as assistant professor at the Free University specialised in social and organisational psychology, diagnostics and psychometrics. At this time he was the head of the well known longitudinal study on stress at work. In 1982 he joined the chair of Work and Organisational Psychology at the University of Osnabrück. Being an academic for more than thirty years, he published a multitude of scholarly journal articles and authored/co-authored more than 40 books including major textbooks on organisational psychology. His research interests are coaching and change management.

Frank Riemenschneider is a German professor of management. He received his PhD from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and the University of Oldenburg (Germany) in management with a dissertation on implementing integrated management systems. Before Frank joined academia he worked during the late 90s at Hoechst AG as inhouse-consultant and later as general manager. During this time he was mainly concerned with the strategic reorientation of the organisation. In 2002 Frank was promoted to professor at the Münster University of Applied Sciences. With his research interests on organisational change, facility management, and private public partnership he founded the Institute of Site and Facility Management in 2004 bridging academic research and real-world practices to foster innovation. Throughout the last five years Frank initiated four business start-ups.
