Greek Studies ProgramUndergraduate StudiesAncient Mediterranean CultureThe program in Ancient Mediterranean Culture is currently available at undergraduate level only and is centred on a three-year sequence of language and textual study, commencing at beginners' level. Modern Greek The undergraduate program in modern Greek is centered on learning the language at a variety of levels with courses for everyone from beginners, who start by mastering the most basic communicative skills for everyday situations, through to advanced background-speakers, who take applied language subjects linked to professional purposes (such as translation of legal, administrative and medical documents). A major in Modern Greek is offered by the Program to students commencing at all first-year levels, Beginners, Intermediate, and Post-VCE, both at Bundoora for La Trobe students and at Parkville for University of Melbourne students.
