Glenn's Social Committee organises various social activities both small and large throughout the year.
The Social Program is all about getting to know the people you live with. Relaxing and developing good social skills are as much a part of life at Glenn as academic and sporting achievement.

- O-Week activities
- residential wings hold floor and wing parties
- a 'Re-O Week' - social functions organised at the start of second semester
- an evening cruise along the Yarra River through the City of Melbourne
- inter-college themed social gatherings such as: The Op Shop Formal, 60’s and 70’s Night and Hawaiian Night.
Our most prestigious social function is the annual Glenn College Ball, which involves dressing up, dining out and dancing into the early hours of the night.
Music at Glenn College - A residents perspective.
College is a great place for all kinds of people, none the least of which the musically minded. Where else can you meet and proceed to live with so many other musicians, from all different places in the state, country or even the world. There are bound to be residents with similar musical interest as you, allowing the possibility of maybe forming a band. On the contrary, you are destined to meet musicians with totally different musical backgrounds, instruments and talents to your own, allowing your musical knowledge and experience to expand without bound.
The opportunities to express your musical talent will be numerous and varied, ranging from casual Open Mic Nights, to full scale college productions. And there will always be someone just around the corner for you to show that unbelievable new riff to in your creative excitement! You will never need to worry about disturbing the neighbors with your late night jam sessions, as each college possesses designated music rooms where you can spend hours and hours perfecting your technique.
College truly is a musician’s paradise. So if you’re like me and want to give your musical side the best it can get, set aside the time to apply for college…and I look forward to jamming with you all next year!
