Glenn is the only catered college on campus. Breakfast and dinner are served daily in the Dining Hall, providing an excellent opportunity for residents to meet. Menus are carefully selected to provide a wide variety of fresh and nourishing meals.
The Dining Hall
- Breakfast consists of cereals, toast and spreads, muffins and croissants, a range of juices, tea or coffee and fresh fruit. A hot cooked breakfast is provided on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. A late, two hour cooked brunch is served on Sundays.
- Dinner consists of a choice of five main courses with salad bar, dessert and fresh fruit. Each day meals are carefully selected with 150+ unique options every three months, with a rotational menu system that reflects the changing seasons.
- Theme nights are scheduled throughout the year, with food from particular countries featured.
- During the University exam period a late night supper is provided to give residents a study break in a social environment.
- Vegetarian meal options are available each day and special dietary requirements can usually be accommodated.
Library
The College has a well-equipped library and resource centre, equipped with computers and laser printers, where residents work on assignments and essays individually and in small teams.
Seminar and tutorial rooms
Available for study groups after hours. One seminar room is fitted out as a Health Sciences resource centre – including a physio table, skeleton, medical monitoring equipment and relevant text books.
Recreation room
The location of the recreation room with snooker tables and bar, lounge areas and a shaded BBQ area in the West Wing enables recreational activities to occur away from residential areas.
Security
The college provides excellent security for residents with the provision of security flyscreens, security doors accessible with student cards, and CCTV over external doorways and stairwells.
