Glenn College provides an environment where residents are encouraged to succeed in their academic, leadership, social, cultural and sporting pursuits.
The University’s first college, and the only catered college on campus, Glenn provides a unique focus residents within its Dining Hall. Breakfast and the evening meal form the social hub of College life where residents come together as a community and share common pursuits.
Academically, Glenn residents consistently rate higher than the University average. This reflects the close attention given to study support programs within the college. Guided by the Coordinator of Learning Programs, a team of trained and dedicated study mentors meet regularly with first year residents and provide ongoing practical advice and motivation.
A team of capable and enthusiastic Residential Assistants and the Residential Assistants’ Coordinator live within the College and provide new residents with the leadership necessary to live and succeed within an academically demanding tertiary education environment.
An exciting social and sporting life at Glenn College is developed and perpetuated by a student elected Resident’s Committee of fourteen members. The Residents’ Committee is responsible for organising and conducting a broad range of events throughout the academic year.
Glenn College is a secure environment for residents with security doors, access control systems, and CCTV over external doorways and stairwells. These improvements complement the high standard of accommodation and service already enjoyed by Glenn residents.
