Sarah HagertyPhD Candidate Contact Details Room 275A Environmental Geoscience Honours Thesis PhD Thesis Biographical Notes In 2005 I was lucky enough to attend the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE) Winter School at the Lucas Heights Science and Technology Centre, just outside Sydney. I was able to observe the latest techniques available for the study of natural processes, including soil, groundwater, pollution and climate change. AINSE have since supported my honours research project, which allowed me to do radiocarbon dating on groundwater samples using facilities at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO). AINSE are now supporting my PhD research through a Post-Graduate Research Award. Last year I acted as the Conference Convenor for the Victorian Universities Earth and Environmental Sciences Conference (VUEESC). I am also a member of the Geological Society of Australia and a Student Representative on the International Association of Hydrogeologists Committee (Victoria Division). When not studying or working, I enjoy music, dancing, eating out, camping and reading! Publications Hagerty, S.K., Fawcett, J. & Webb, J.A. (in process). The Mid-Tertiary upper Loddon "deep lead" palaeodrainage system in central Victoria is discontinuous due to contemporaneous faulting. Content Approved by: Head of Environmental Geoscience
