The Immunogenetics Laboratory is investigating normal and abnormal immune responses and their genetic bases. One area of particular importance is the immune response to cancer, especially the role of natural killer (NK) cells, pictured below attacking a human leukemia cell (left). Research students have access to the most recent cell identification and separation equipment, including fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS)
