How to participate

Organisational employer-partners are invited to register interest. Once selected, La Trobe University and Organisation employer-partners will jointly select suitable student applicants.

Four cadetships will be called for in the first year, with a total of ten cadetships in the program, over a period of six and one half years.

Selection of Organisational Employer-Partners

Employer-partners might include, but not be limited to, water authorities, irrigation schemes, Catchment Management Authorities, Local Government and private businesses.

Employer-partner organisations will be selected on the basis of:

  • Demonstrated Civil Engineering shortage/need.
  • Commitment to contribute towards cadetship funds, student industry experience, and support of academic projects related to local environmental issues.
  • Impact of Civil Engineering shortage on the environment within the Murrumbidgee Catchment, and organisational objectives. (Applicants from beyond Murrumbidgee Catchment will be considered).
