Graduate Ambassador Program

The Finance & Resource Planning Division is pleased to announce the launch of the Finance Graduate Ambassador Program.  The program begins in March each year and is a two year program designed to give two La Trobe Accounting graduates the opportunity to work in the Finance and Resource Planning Division.

Please note that the program has been suspended for 2012 and there will be no intake.

The Program

The program involves two 12-month rotations within Corporate Planning, Corporate Reporting, Capital Administration and Accounting Support.   Within each rotation the graduates will also spend a period of time in Financial Operations learning GST, FBT, accounts payable, accounts receivable and procurement activities. These teams focus on different aspects of the Finance and Resource Planning Function, and are all headed by an experienced manager, most of whom are Certified Practicing Accountants or Charted Accountants and can support the practical experience requirements of the programs. These rotations ensure enough time to develop a deep understanding of the operations of the team, whilst still providing a wide variety of experiences.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this program applicants must have recently completed a La Trobe University accounting degree or a degree accredited by CPA Australia or the Institute Charted Accountants of Australia. Moreover applicants must be eligible to work full time in Australia.

Timeframe

Recruitment of graduates will generally commence in Semester two of each year with appointments scheduled to occur in February of the following year. The Finance and Resource Planning Division will work with the Faculty of Law and Management to promote this program to potential applicants.
