Course of study:
Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management and Marketing) 2009
Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary)

I came to La Trobe straight from Year 12 (NSW) and the reason I chose to undertake a Bachelor of Business degree was because of the majors and minors available, the numerous elective units and the flexibility the course offered me.

The staff are incredible! Whether you need assistance in class, in the library, with your computer/student card, at the admin office or help/questions with paperwork regarding your course, there was ALWAYS someone there to assist me – and they were more than happy to take the time to help me. I always had the resources and facilities available to me at the Uni – very rarely did I need to go beyond the campus.

What I liked best about La Trobe's Bendigo campus is that everything is available in one spot – all facilities and resources are right at your door step. You know you can productively spend the whole day studying at Uni because everything you need is always available.

There are multiple student clubs available to join or support – there is just about every single club you could think of that you can join and be a part of! It is always interesting and the social life is great. there is always a social event happening for the Uni as a whole, or within faculties, with events such as the Balls. This was the best way for me to meet new people when I first moved here. The campus atmosphere is very laid back, friendly and somewhat peaceful.

For secondary students thinking about coming to uni, follow your goals – and even though there will be tough hurdles to jump, the end result is definitely worth all the work and the wait. Until you get to uni, you have no idea of the endless opportunities that await for you – it is a life changing experience that can literally take you anywhere in this world!
