I’m sure that my time at La Trobe has not only significantly enhanced my legal skills but also my ability to ‘think around the corner’. I will leave the School of Law with improved analytical skills and also with a much better understanding of the English language. I developed personally, expanded my horizon by living, working and studying in Australia and, perhaps most importantly, I learnt to handle precarious situations and to stay in control even when the odds are against you. I’m confident that my double qualification and experience will be appreciated by future employers back in Germany.
Most of the staff at La Trobe are extremely friendly, open-minded, and very committed. There is always room to ask questions or to get answers, even in relation to peripheral issues. The standard of teaching is high and the lecturers help students to get an idea of the particular area. Some staff members are not only great academics or practitioners but also perfect teachers who helped me to develop interests in areas I did not like at all before I walked into class. The language support for international students is very good.
