My name is Lauren Grover and once I graduate my career plan is to work in human resource management for a large organisation and possibly work in a foreign country one day!
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Business with Honours in human resource management. I love being a student ambassador as you have the chance to meet so many new people, work with a fantastic team at the Future Students Centre and I enjoy the flexibility as I can work while completing my studies.
As a student ambassador, I have the opportunity to speak to a variety of people from senior high school students to those who are interested in going to university later in life. I enjoy passing on the knowledge I have developed through my experience at La Trobe to those who may one day study here themselves.
Do as much research as you can! There are many different places you can go to that will provide you with loads of information such as your careers advisor and teachers, websites, friends and family. Don’t be afraid to ask as many questions as you can about anything you are curious about.
I love La Trobe University! I have made lifelong friends here, the facilities and the teaching staff are fantastic and I have had the time of my life while studying, which is one of the most important things. Being at La Trobe has been the most rewarding and enjoyable experience, I have learnt so many new and exciting things and it has given me the best stepping stone to my future career.
