Brief profile
Xiangkang received his PhD degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU) in 1989. In the following three years, he held a position as a lecturer and later as an associate professor at SJTU and devoted his research to the control and optimisation of economic systems. He moved to Université Louis Pasteur in 1992 and to Monash University in 1994, focusing on the research of innovation theory, the Chinese economy and micro-macroeconomic analysis. He was appointed to La Trobe University as a lecturer in 1995 and to the Professor of Economics and Finance in 2006.
