Course of study:
Bachelor of Laws with Honours
When choosing my course I thought about the career options and travel opportunities that I would be interested in. I completed Year 12 and went straight into uni beginning as an arts student majoring in philosophy. I then transferred into law given a passion for legal philosophy.
The aspects of the law degree that I really like are the variety of law electives offered, the passionate and approachable law staff and lecturers and the overseas opportunities.
I participated in two student exchange programs so far. The first was summer school in Prague in 2009 where I studies crime, law and psychology. I then undertook a legal internship in South Africa in 2010.
I am also part of the student bodies - I have been an active member of the Law Students Association for three years. My interests lie in criminal, family, medical and human rights law and I am currently considering postgraduate study in Australia or abroad. All in all, studying at La Trobe is a great experience. I am glad I didn't choose anywhere else.
We are committed to providing quality teaching, informed by research across all our disciplines and maintaining and enhancing our outstanding international research reputation.
