A Networking technology The world around us is intricately connected, so how do you fit in? In this workshop, we'll take you behind the scenes to discover how major companies, including CSIRO, deliver large-scale network infrastructure.

This interactive workshop digs deeper into the technology connecting our world, and you'll come away with an insight as to how the internet and data communication networks operate.

A Prosthetics and orthotics This workshop will introduce you to the working environment of the profession of the prosthetist/orthotist (P&O).

The session will outline what prosthetics and orthotics is, what a P&O does, how to get into the program, course structure, and career opportunities available for  graduates.

A Robotics Robotics is one of the fastest-growing fields of engineering and is changing the world as we know it.

This workshop puts you in the driver’s seat: take control of an assortment of robots and mechatronic systems designed by La Trobe students and staff. Discover how robots are revolutionising everything from medicine through to cleaning.

A Secret parents business As parents, we understand the importance of knowing your child is getting the most out of their education. Hear about the different services available to students and what uni life is really like.
A Social Work Find out about the many opportunities available in the field of social work and gain an understanding of what it's all about.

The workshop will outline the various roles performed by social work graduates and the many interesting career paths available.

You'll also get a chance to get a feel for the profession by taking part in various role play and situational activities.

A Health Sciences If you have a desire to improve the quality of individuals, families, groups and communities, consider the Bachelor of Health Sciences. Discover the many important careers on offer in the exciting fields of public health, health promotion, sports counselling and athlete welfare, health sustainability, rehabilitation counselling, and anatomy and physiology.
A Nursing and midwifery Gain an understanding of some of the skills required by nurses and midwives in clinical practice.

Experience a simulated clinical ward environment, where you can take part in caring for a ‘sim’ patient and interact with a range of equipment our students use as they train to become a Registered Nurse.

Experience the skills that undergraduate midwifery students learn as they prepare for clinical practice. You'll even have the chance to be the midwife at a simulated birth and help with the immediate care of the newborn.

A Campus tour Take a tour of our campus with an experienced Student Ambassador. They'll share their tips and tricks on the best places to study, where to get the best coffee and snacks, and show you where you could be taking classes.

Come and explore the enormous potential of sound waves; see sinister goo driven by huge sub-woofers, robots that can outsmart people, and much more! All you need to bring along is a sense of adventure.

A Physiotherapy For those with an interest in rehabilitation, sport and recovery, this session is a must. You'll find out about the many different types of movement, neurological and cardiovascular conditions treated by physiotherapists.

BAnatomyDesigned to help you gain a better understanding of how the body works by looking at how we breathe, this interactive workshop gives you access to skeletons, models, x-rays and, for those who are interested, cadaveric specimens (i.e. dissected human bodies).

Please note, you have the option to visit the cadavers lab after the session, but you may also opt out.
