Do you want to hone your writing skills and learn the art of becoming a playwright or poet?
La Trobe University proudly presents Writing by Design, workshops that covers the art of playwriting,
poetry and editing with Marg Hickey and Sue Gillett.
Sue Gillett is a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at La Trobe University. She has authored two books, edited one anthology, and has had more than 30 articles and book chapters published in Australia and internationally. Sue was editor-in-chief of Melbourne Poets Union from 2008 — 2013. Sue is experienced in the artistic direction, management and marketing of cultural and community events.
Margaret Hickey is a lecturer at La Trobe University. Her first novel, A Grand Prospect, was published in 2008 and garnered excellent reviews from, among others, Geoffrey Robertson QC and ABC regional radio.
She has been shortlisted for the National Crime Writer’s award,The Scarlet Stiletto, for Fill her up and also the Best Australian Short Story in 2010 for Kate and Mouse.
