Join Professor John Dewar, Vice-Chancellor La Trobe University for an informal breakfast at the Parliament House, Canberra to celebrate La Trobe’s 50th anniversary year and launch the Government and Parliamentary Alumni Network.
The network is open to La Trobe alumni working across all tiers of government in politics and the public service, and will provide the opportunity to participate in social, networking and professional activities.
Professor John Dewar will give a brief address, as will distinguished alumnus Hon Andrew Robb AO, Australia’s former Minister for Trade and Investment, and currently Chair of Asialink, and a Board Member for the Kidman cattle enterprise and Network Ten.
Leading La Trobe researchers Dr Aniruddha Desai, Director of the Centre for Technology Infusion, and Professor Amanda Kenny of the La Trobe Rural Health School, will discuss pioneering research into autonomous vehicle technology; and the growth of the La Trobe Rural Health School and innovative rural health service design respectively.
We hope you will join us to celebrate La Trobe’s 50th anniversary, reconnect with fellow alumni in Canberra and hear about La Trobe’s extraordinary work and ambitious plans for the future.
