About our panel
Michael Cooper, Director Capital Finance, HSBC
Michael Cooper is passionate about infrastructure, in particular the structuring and financing of transport and power assets. Since leaving La Trobe he has worked for several international organisations as a financial advisor and financier and lived in S.E. Asia and the Middle East before returning to Australia in early 2015. The projects he has helped develop have ranged from a large nuclear power plant, convention and exhibition centres, airports, roads, railways and renewable energy plants. Michael is currently on cycling leave.
Annette Hicks, Senior Health Advisor, IBM Watson Health
Annette Hicks has varied experience in the areas of strategy, business development, solution sales, service delivery, product management and education.
Her years of experience working in both the healthcare and IT industries have made Annette appreciative of the value of information technology and innovation in our healthcare industry.

Jason Brown, Manager, Careers & Employability, La Trobe University
Jason Brown is a career development practitioner with 18 years’ experience specialising in developing and managing employment and career development programs, and a researcher examining how universities can better support students to develop employability. He has worked in a number of industry sectors including higher education; employment services; and community/not-for-profit.
During the past few years at La Trobe University, Jason has been actively involved in major projects to enhance student employability through reimagining the delivery of career services to students, launching La Trobe’s new program, Career Ready Advantage, increasing engagement between employers and students, and embedding employability into the curriculum.
