The theme of the 2013 Student Leadership Conference is, ‘The Resilient Leader’. Speakers who have overcome major challenges in life will speak about how they were able to overcome their difficulties, including keynote speaker Madeleine West.
Madeleine West had a successful career as an actress on the television show Neighbours before she was hit by a bus in Sydney in 2002 which left her with brain injuries. Madeleine will present on her experience and what motivated her to overcome her challenges.
‘Not only do you get to work with other people you may never have met before but the conference alone helps reflect on your own life, where you have been and most importantly where you are going without even realising it.’ – 2012 Student Leadership Conference attendee.
