Career Ready is a program designed to help you:

  • work out what to do with your degree;
  • learn how to find and secure employment; and
  • manage your career throughout your lifetime.

This program is aimed at second and third year students, although postgraduates and first year students will also benefit from the program.

Career Ready consists of a series of 6 seminars, plus online content available through the LMS. If you cannot attend a program on campus, you can complete the program online.

The seminars run for one hour:

  1. What can I do with my degree?
  2. Developing my skills
  3. Career Options, including industry panels for: Media, arts, social science, and legal studies.
  4. Best ways to find a job
  5. Succeeding at job applications and interviews
  6. Next steps after I graduate

Are you a Work Ready student?

If you are signed up to the Work Ready BA, you can earn 30 work ready points for completing Career Ready. To earn the points, you must submit a 'Career Readiness Plan' at the end of the program.

Access to Learning Resources

By registering for this program, you will gain access to the 2013 Career Ready Program on the LMS and a workbook in PebblePad to record your responses to activities. Access to the LMS and PebblePad workbook will be made available by the start date of the program.
