140th Anniversary of Tertiary Education in Bendigo

The first class at The Bendigo School of Mines was held on 21 April 1873.
The School of Mines is the oldest of La Trobe University's antecedent institutions, followed by the Bendigo Teacher' College and the Northern District School of Nursing. These institutions are part of the region's proud history of tertiary education.
In recognition of this auspicious occasion, a program of celebratory events are planned for the weekend 19 - 21 April.

Friday 19 April
Venue: Bendigo Art Gallery, 42 View Street, Bendigo
Time: 6.30pm
$85 per person

Anniversary Day Open House: Activities include morning tea, campus tours, unveiling of Bendigo School of Mines commemorative plaque.
