Interested in social and environmental sustainability issues and/or corporate social responsibility?
The SIRIS internship program is for you.
The Sustainable Investment Research Institute (SIRIS) is looking for highly motivated students or recent graduates, who are interested in ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) research and gaining first-hand experience and exposure to the SRI (Socially Responsible Investment) industry.
Their 3-4 week internship helps the candidate build on their undergraduate/graduate studies, while experiencing the day-to-day operations as a SRI research analyst. Interns will be trained and mentored by a senior research analyst and will be given the opportunity to discuss personal goals and learning ambitions. The program is structured to be a rewarding experience for those who are just getting started in the professional business environment and want some exposure in this industry.
What do you need to do?
Just send a cover letter and your resume via email to: Yukari Kaito at internship@siris.com.au
Interviews will be held in January 2013 and training will commence in late-January to February 2013
Duration of the program is approximately 3 to 4 weeks full-time or 20 days part-time (this can be discussed and decided for each individual intern).
What you'll learn
You'll collect and analyse the information and data companies release in their sustainability, annual and financial reports.
Review and discuss company websites and other publicly available documents to learn about operational and brand risks and emerging responsible investment themes.
Write company profile reports on a wide range of sustainability themes.
Characteristics of possible candidates:

Motivated to learn and experience ESG and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) research
