HBS2/3WDP (formerly 23BEW) Principles of Workstation, equipment and information design

In this subject students study the human physical and psychological functional capacities and limitations that are most relevant to the design or evaluation of: workstations; tools and equipment; and different forms of information presentation. The aim is to enable students to evaluate some of these workplace design issues in relation to achieving effective work performance and good occupational health and safety. Specific topics include: human anthropometry; visual sensory system; auditory and other senses; human information processing; postures and workspace design.
