Accessing Research Data Store (RDS)

Research data storage is a cornerstone of research infrastructure. We have the following data services available:

  • direct access to hundreds of terabytes of file storage by researcher’s desktop computers
  • repository storage for summary data, information that needs to be published, metadata and a facility for long-term archiving (please contact the library for further information).

The space is available to research groups that also include external parties through secure and simple interfaces. A data access and management policy that:

    • Is part of the University's data policy
    • Takes into account researcher's needs
    • Provides for descriptive and metadata storage
    • Provides simple file access, as well as repository and database facilities
    • Is secure regarding reliability and provides for archiving
  • A security model that ensures:
    • Security for all types of research information, including private records
    • Access using existing credentials
    • Access to other parties using a generally accepted security mode.
