We provide general consulting, support and advice for researchers on issues such as computing, storage, data handling, information management, software tools and collaboration.
We aim to educate and support researchers in eResearch techniques, especially in non-science areas, by providing an enhanced computing and communications technology infrastructure that supports research and by promoting e-Research funding opportunities. You’re welcome to come and visit us at the Research Park for a coffee and chat regarding your e-Research requirements.
High performance computing
The e-Research Office, VPAC and ICT has installed a 24 node (184 core) high performance computing cluster.
Accessing Research Data Store (RDS)
The e-Research Office and ICT are developing a research storage plan to provide researchers with many terabytes of storage space.
Access grid
A work environment is being developed that allows the interconnection of a high number of geographically distributed groups to video conference at the same time they share applications.
