• On July 15th Dr Ross Wilkinson, Executive Director of ANDS, the Australian National Data Service gave a presentation on ANDS followed by an open discussion with La Trobe staff about La Trobe's repository activities and how La Trobe can contribute to the population of the Australian Data Commons.

• On June 19th Richard Collmann from the School of Historical Studies and School of Culture and Communication, Melbourne University gave a brief history of the purpose and development of a portable 3-Dimensional digital photographic object rig. He also summarised a pending application to the ARC Linkage Infrastructure (LIEF) grant scheme. A successful application will provide a high-capacity information gathering, storage and delivery facility for collaborative research and teaching purposes.
