Equity scholarships
La Trobe University and the Commonwealth Government provide a range of scholarships to assist students whose educational opportunities have been limited by their financial circumstances.

Student Start-up and Relocations Scholarships
The Government’s legislation regarding student income support has finally been passed by Parliament albeit in an amended form. The important news is that Centrelink will commence payment to eligible students receiving income support for the new Student Start-up Scholarship or new Relocation Scholarship from 1 April 2010. The Start-up scholarship is valued at $1300 in 2010 increasing to over $2,128 in 2011. The Relocation scholarship is for students that have to relocate to study will receive $4,000 in 2010 and $1,000 in subsequent years.
