Victimisation
If you are involved in making a complaint of harassment or discrimination you are protected from victimisation by university policy as is any witness or the person who is the subject of a complaint.
Whistleblowers Protection
The Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 provides a procedure for dealing with allegations of improper conduct of the University, its staff or a member of the University Council and for the protection of individuals who make disclosures. The system enables disclosures to be made to the nominated Protected Disclosure Officer who is the University Ombudsman, Mr Cliff Picton. Disclosures may be made by staff, students, Council members or by members of the public.
