Employer of Choice for Women 2011
La Trobe University’s application to the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) for ‘EOWA’ Employer of Choice for Women 2011 has again been successful. This prestigious citation has been awarded to La Trobe University annually since the inception of the awards in 2001.
For 2011, a total of 98 organisations ranging in size and spanning across all industries, were successful in their application for the award. The University is one of 26 Victorian organisations, 4 Victorian universities and one of 18 universities nationally to receive this honour. This demonstrates recognition of the University’s commitment to equal opportunity, anti-discrimination, and work and family issues.
Organisations awarded the Employer of Choice for Women citation are invited to use this branding in their recruitment advertising and other promotional material. This citation provides significant positioning in a competitive marketplace, particularly when it is seeking to attract the best possible talent.
