Academic study support

Disability Liaison Officers are able to provide information, support, advocacy and resources to students with disabilities. They will look at the effects of the disability on study and determine the adjustments required. Adjustments should aim to cancel out, as much as possible, the limitations created by the disability. Maximising student independence is a key goal.

La Trobe University has Language and Academic Skills Units in each faculty and campus. Study advisers can work with you to improve your language and learning skills and assist you with assignments. They can help with speaking, writing, reading, referencing and preparation for exams.
