Confidentiality

At the initial meeting with disability support staff, you will be asked to complete a Confidentiality Agreement (PDF 46KB) (Word 217KB). The completed form will provide the disability support staff with guidance on whether you wish to disclose the nature of your disability to other Universtity staff.

NB: The disability support staff are bound by provisions of the Privacy Act, and will not release information without consent.

The disability support staff can act as a 'filter' for this information, by verifying the disability, and making recommendations regarding adjustments to staff, without revealing any details of the disability.

If a student agrees to release information, disability support staff will only disclose information as required.
