Green vegetation lines the path near the Agora

Issues of environmental sustainability are of critical importance for La Trobe University and the wider community. We need to conserve water, lower greenhouse gas emissions, reduce landfill waste and invest in more sustainable forms of energy to ensure a safe and sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.

The La Trobe University EnviroSMART Program aims to educate and encourage staff and students to create a sustainable future for La Trobe University and the wider community. EnviroSMART endeavours to continually improve environmentally-responsible workplace practices and to raise the University's environmental profile.

EnviroSMART is the first point of call for all environmental projects at La Trobe. From here you can access information about energy and water conservation, waste management and recycling, biodiversity, sustainable transport, green purchasing and our green office program.
